Flying-Zeppelin-Hindenburg
German giant airship Zeppelin "Hindenburg" explodes in a ball of fire as she came in to land in New Jersey during the night of 06 May 1937, killing at least 33 of her passengers and crew. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is believed it may have been cause by static electricity igniting her hydrogen gas as she approached the mooring mast after a thunderstorm.
