Usa-Ship-France-New York
The ocean liner "France" is welcomed by US fireboats on February 08, 1962 as she arrives in New York harbor after her first transatlantic trip. - The France was a Compagnie Gnrale Transatlantique ocean liner, constructed by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard at Saint-Nazaire. Launched 11 May 1960, she was put into service in February 1962, combining regular transatlantic crossings - six days and nights - with winter cruises, as well as two world circumnavigations. The France was later renamed SS Norway and undertook mostly cruises for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). (Photo by - / AFP)
