This print takes us back to the glorious era of football in 1923/24, showcasing the Corinthians Team Group. Standing tall at the back are A. H. Phillips, J. R. B. Moulsdale, B. H. Baker, Lionel Bruce Blaxland - a remarkable World War I flying ace who also displayed his cricketing skills for Derbyshire between 1925 and 1947 - and Kenneth Jackie Hegan, an accomplished player with four England caps and a proud member of the Great Britain team at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics. In the front row, we have F. W. H Nicholas, C. T Ashton, J. S. F Morrison, A. G Bower - all talented individuals who contributed greatly to their team's success on numerous occasions. Also featured is Alexander Graham Doggart; not only did he earn one England cap but he also excelled in cricket for Durham and Middlesex before becoming FA Chairman from 1961 to 1963. Completing this extraordinary lineup is Norman Creek – holder of one England cap – who went on to write "A History of Corinthian Football Club" while managing British Olympic teams during the vibrant decades of the '50s and '60s. Notably, Creek was among two broadcasters providing BBC Radio commentary on an FA Cup Final in its inaugural year of radio coverage back in 1936.
