Lisa-Marie Presley, the daughter of the rock legend, celebrated her 30th birthday 01 February and "finally inherited some 205 million US dollars from her father's estate," according to a British newspaper report 31 January. Lisa-Marie, who was due to inherit the estate, which includes the property, when she was 25, left the control to her mother Priscilla for the past five years due to the latter's successful handling of the Elvis Presley Enterprises and the famous mansion. Pop icon Prince -- whose pioneering brand of danceable funk made him one of music's most influential figures -- died on April 21, 2016 at his compound in Minnesota. He was 57. The announcement came just a week after the Grammy and Oscar winner was taken to hospital with a bad bout of influenza, although he made light of his health problems after the scare.
