This photograph showcases the exterior of the Great Eastern Tavern, a beloved public house situated in the heart of Brighton, Sussex. The Great Eastern Tavern, a cherished establishment in the Kemp Town area, was a popular gathering place for locals and tourists alike. The pub's rich history can be traced back to the early 19th century, with records indicating its existence as early as 1825. Over the years, it underwent various changes, with different companies and breweries taking ownership. However, the pub remained a constant fixture in the community, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. Unfortunately, as of July 2018, the Great Eastern Tavern met an unfortunate fate. Demolition took place, leaving behind only memories and this photograph as a testament to its former existence.
