Kircher, a German Jesuit scholar ahead of his time, delved into language and archaeology to unravel the mysteries surrounding Babylon, Nineveh, and Egypt. This particular table highlights languages like Samaritan, Hebrew, and Syrian while also touching upon cryptographic codes and influential authors such as Abraham of Balmis. The monochromatic illustration transports us back to an era where script and writing were integral aspects of communication. It serves as a testament to the rich historical tapestry woven by these ancient civilizations in the Middle East.
