Wall Art and Photo Gifts from Royal Cornwall Museum
Restormel Castle, Lanlivery Parish, Cornwall. September 1989
Wine, women and song helped to celebrate the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588 during the Pageant of History of Lostwithiel 1189 to 1989. Over 2, 500 people watched the pageant held in the grounds of Restormel Castle. 144 of the towns residents took part in the plays, which commemorated 800 years of the town being granted a Charter.
